Fall Colors Smoky Mountains and Bluegrass Festival?

My wife and I are trying to plan a trip in October where she can see the fall colors in the Smoky Mountains and I can attend a bluegrass festival.

I’ve compiled this list of festivals for October…
Is anyone familiar with any of these?
We are from Texas. We’ve been to the Smoky Mountains a couple of times years ago. If you are from the area and have suggestions, I would appreciate any response.

Oct 6-7 Ol’ Front Porch Music Festival, Oriental, NC
Oct 6-7 3 Sisters Bluegrass Festival, Chattanooga, TN
Oct 6-8 Cave Fest, Pelham, TN
Oct 7 Bascom Lamar Lunsford Festival, Mars Hill, NC

Our family plans to be at Tennessee Valley in Athens, AL this October. Our first time!

I know it’s not in October (or in the mountains) but you’ve GOT to come to Headin’ Home Fest in Swainsboro, GA November 9-12. It’s the best festival in the US! :sunglasses:
