I see @BanjoBen’s Elliott guitar capos are all out of stock. Upon checking all the dealers on Elliott’s website, they are all out of stock. Does anyone know when they’ll be back?

I have a friend and he had to wait about 4 months to get his after he ordered it. Apparently there just aren’t many to go around right now.

It’s kind of like canning lids. My wife and I have a small vegetable garden and every year we like to preserve tomatoes, peppers and beets. Two seasons ago (there is a link to capos here, hang on!) we estimated how many lids we’d need (you can re-use jars and rings) and went to buy them. Uh oh…out of stock. Everywhere! We ended up buying 48 jar/lid/ring combos just to have the lids! Last year we started looking early…(really, there is a link here) and eventually started checking the Menards website weekly. Out of stock. On one of our trips to France we were on the train to Paris when my reminder to “check Menards for lids popped up” and voila! Available! Ordered 10 boxes.
As we talked with friends, shopkeepers, etc. about the lid shortage two thoughts came up: lack of raw materials (I believe these are made of stainless steel) and people out of work/working from home and deciding to take up canning! (Here’s the link to capos…). So it could be that either there is a shortage of stuff used to make capos or (better yet) more people are learning to play guitar, banjo, etc.

It’s actually for one of by brothers. We ended up ordering one from a seller on Reverb. There some seem to be many around right now.
