Does anyone have one of these "musicians glider" chairs?

I have been looking at these for sometime and I am seriously considering investing in one but the reviews seem to be all over the place. There is no place near me where I can go and try one out but I have to get something better than what I have right now. It’s difficult for me to sit and practice for any length of time in any thing I currently have. I like to practice and I want to practice but I need something like this where I can lean my head back and rest my neck while still remaining upright. Most times while I practice I am also reading tab on a screen and it just becomes exhausting . My recliner doesn’t cut it nor do any of my office chairs as I need back and head support. Any thoughts?

I need something like this, too. Most of my playing is done in an office chair with arms and it gets OLD.

Yeah…it’s kind of a real problem for me. I will tend to choose my comfortable recliner and once I do that I am done with anything productive. I might have to record myself sometime to see if I can figure out what “key” I snore in.

I have had one of these for years now and it is very comfortable to practice in. I find myself gliding back and forth naturally as I’m playing. The only thing is it’s very low to the ground and I have long legs so I had to put it up on a higher platform box a friend built to fit it.

I’m short so no worries. My hesitation are a lot of reviews citing bad packaging and broken pieces. Don’t want the hassle of sending something that big back. Are you able to lean your head back comfortably?

I found this at Staples, its an office chair, but has flip-up arms so I can move them out of the way when I’m playing. https://www.staples.com/Staples-Torrent-Bonded-Leather-Managers-Chair-Black/product_923571

There’s a music store near me that has one. I’ve sat in it a few times. I will say it’s really old and squeaks so it’s not a good representation of the product, but it seems comfortable.

Yeah, I’ve had mine for years now and the reviews were the same, mine came ok.

Not sure what you mean about leaning your head back, I guess that would depend on how long your body is.

Measurement from the top of the seat cushion to the top of the back cushion is 25.5”-ish…I sat in it and put my head back - the back cushion hit the bottom of my skull, my head was straight up at ceiling…not a great practice posture…
