I think I can about see it from here, so let’s learn a little Over in the Glory Land on mandolin! This one is perfect for those just starting out, then we build basic melody into something spectacular!

I like how the basic solo lays the foundation for the more advanced intermediate. Good not to lose sight of the ‘bones’ of the tune.

I take it that a banjo version is coming out next week? I hope you make it more advancedish and real spicy  This sounds great btw. especially the banjo backup.

Great and fun lesson. I’m not at the Intermediate Level but doing good with only a few minor adjustments - thusfar… Going slow and just now started the chorus. Thanks.

So during the banjo & guitar, what are the Mandolin chop chords? A? others?

The mandolin would play the same chords as the standard chord progression (1 = A, 4 = D, 5 = E).
(The chorus is extended two measures at the end of each half)

Here’s the chord progression:

1 (4 1) 1 5
1 (4 1) (1 5) 1
1 1 4 1
1 5
1 1 4 1
(1 5) 1

thanks !!
