Thanks! Where did you get this? It’s a great resource.
Discuss the Mandolin lesson: Just a Closer Walk with Thee
@Timmy
Your welcome! Glad it was helpful.
I google some oddball chords that come up in alot of the stuff I like to play, or because I’m hunting for a certain chord tone when the ‘usual’ chord just doesn’t sound right. Some of them I can figure out on my own, some not.
This website (link below) is where the info I posted came from, and I like that if you scroll down they have the ‘formula’ how to figure it out on your own, which is very helpful. Plus all kinds of xtra helpful info on the chord too. There’s a selection tool on there - select mandolin, as I think piano is the default. There’s many other chord sites out there but this one is my fav:
It’s a great app. Thanks.
Question about this Sierra Hull version that @Archie posted above. How would you describe the “feel” of this version? It’s a slow tempo, and it has a lot of bounce. As I play along, I hear some kind of boom CHUCK - boom ba CHUCK thing going on. What style is this?
It certainly has a boom chuck and bounce feel to it. Thanks for reposting. I never tire of listening to this.
That’w what I call a swing style, for sure.
