Discuss the Mandolin lesson: Inside Cabin Camp: Mandolin Chord Strategy with Penny Lea

Penny Lea welcomes you into the midst of Cabin Camp for one of her mandolin sessions! In this lesson she’ll connect the various chord shapes for you and connect more dots, as well. Keep in mind that this session was recorded live at Cabin Camp and exists in context with questions the campers had been asking. There are tons of jewels in it!

I really found part two of this lesson of great value. In fact it is the only lesson that I have wanted to download for offline use.

This was super helpful! I was there for this cabin camp lesson and seeing it again really cleared up some questions. There is a lot that I did not retain (or keep up with) from the in-person session so this was exactly what I needed to keep learning these chord shapes and the relationship between the numbers. Thank you Penny Lea and Ben.

I agree totally with Jay. I also attended camp in this session…lots of info to absorb in 1 day.
Thank goodness this lesson was recorded so all mandolin players can benefit.

Thank you so much Ben and Penny Lea for this lesson. I recently attended your Nashville Cabin Camp and this subject specifically, was causing me some trouble. However, seeing the lesson again on the Banjo Ben website has cleared up a lot. Best Regards, Greg Hogue

I don’t play Mandolin and I enjoyed the lesson.

Great lesson! I love the connections made with the major chords!

I love to hear Penny play mandolin, her style is very clean and recognizable! I enjoyed this lesson very much and it helped me to understand some things I had already been using much more clearly. Thanks Penny!
