Discuss the Mandolin lesson: How to Play Potatoes

When you’re hungry for a fiddle tune, it’s time to serve up some potatoes! Potatoes teach us the tempo and timing of the song to come, and we should all spend a little time in the kitchen.

So potatoes are the appetizer leading into the meat of the tune. Really amplifies the concept I learned on how to “tick-tock” into a song. This may be the most important thing I learn today. Cool beans!

I play potatoes best by baking them in the oven and then split there tops open and melt butter and sour cream on top.

I prefer Pommes Frites, French Fries or as we call them here in the UK - Chips!

I love me some taters. Looking forward to using this on all three: banjo, mando, and guitar.
