This is my full session from our 2026 Virtual Mandolin Camp, which was themed around really wringing a scale for all it’s worth! I focused on using the G Major scale to build a solo on the tune Golden Slippers, first looking at the chords of the song to determine our target notes, then using scales to fill the gaps in between. Don’t miss our next virtual camp—check out all upcoming events at BanjoBenEvents.com!

Wow I am impressed Ben. I haven’t picked up my mandolin in long time. I learned the G scale and a cool old tune. really fun. I might just have to do one of your mandolin camps. Thank you.
