Are you thinking about going pro or something?

Hi Ben! Thanks so much for these lessons. I’m having trouble getting that first chop to sound different (more of the chord sound) than the second. They both sound dead. Am I supposed to be muting the strings the exact same time I strike the chord, or is there a short delay? Or are is my finger pressure on the strings supposed to be different, thereby making a more melodic sound. I find if I make the pressure too light the overtones are the open string sounds.
Thanks for your help!

I release the pressure from the strings as I chop through, but not all the pressure or we will get ringing (as you have found). Can you take a few seconds of video and post to the Video Swap category, please?
