Discuss the Mandolin lesson: B Flat Major Scale Study

Scale studies are much more than theory work. They HELP us learn to play in different keys! I’ll teach you the scale then show you speed-building exercises to get you going in B flat!

Great lesson @BanjoBen! I have been working circular scales in C, G, G#, and A (open) everyday. Gonna add Bb now, and also add the speed exercise for all of it. Thanks.

Great lesson Ben. By the way, what airplane does the prop on your mantle go to? Looks cool!

It’s just a “prop” prop I bought from Sporty’s

Roger. I know you like airplanes, as do I. Thought you might have found it in some old Texas barn. Thanks again for the B b lesson. R/ Greg

Don- Hi Ben,
Just wanted to say thanks for explaining things so well.
I’m an old beginner. I’ve wanted to learn mandolin for a long time and now I where to start and what to practice.
The prop IS cool! I’ve got an old turbine wheel in a box… someplace.
I worked on planes for 25 years before moving up to mandolin.
I think they were easier😵‍💫

Very helpful lesson! Thank you. Also can you please add the keyword search term of “eat it” for this lesson? :joy::joy::joy: Another classic Banjo Ben moment.
