Discuss the lesson: PickAlong Cripple Creek

I’ve not listened to the jam tracks, but I play Cripple Creek either way. Sometimes, just to make things interesting, I’ll swap while I’m playing! The most important thing would be that your timing is steady whichever way you’re playing it! Have fun!

I’m definitely putting some swing in there when I play the banjo solo, yes. You can play the “no banjo” mp3 and probably do either.

I am guessing there are many variations to the lyrics of this song

This one is from the Bluegrass Lyrics Website

I’m trying to get up to speed. My hands and my brain are taking some time to connect. Do you have a recommendation for an MP3 player/controller for the iPad that would allow me to adjust the tempo as I go?

Don’t forget the .tef files that I include with the tabs. Learn more about that here: https://youtu.be/tzS9NxVuNbg

Beyond that you can try Strum Machine to easily create jam tracks that can adjust tempo as you go, like the .tef files can.
