Yay! I was just sitting on the porch playing Amazing Grace this morning. I’ve never really worked on it with mando, so this is a perfect for that. It’s also good for me to hear/see your banjo backup for this song.

Pre Covid I was going to pick up my Mandolin and learn it . Lockdown should have been that moment but wasn’t I think the Pick a long is the route as if still doesn’t work out well its almost nothing lost! The truck looks like it needs a wash!

Love these POV lessons. Really frees me up! Still trying to get used to the banjo feel as compared to many years of guitar.
Thank you and God bless

I do love this pickalong series! Being a beginner, I love being able to play along (or pickalong) at an easier level; but can add something a little fancier when I’m feelin frisky! It feels great to be able to play along!

Ben, any chance you could do an advanced clinch mountain back step on guitar? (Of course, on the banjo as well):slightly_smiling_face:

I played in church last Sunday & more videos like this - specifically gospel would be awesome. Thanks @BanjoBen for putting this together - it’s tremendously helpful!

Love the pick along lesson format. I finally have a ‘band’ to play along with to learn how to play in a group and not get booted out. Ben’s a forgiving band partner. And good thing play-alongs are one-way street!

But he’s a bit of a timing nazi!

My family has started a blue grass band. Big sis and husband guitar, (very talented), little sis banjo (improving rapidly) and me mandolin (very beginner). We LOVE THE PICK ALONGS. We get together weekly and play with you guys. Keep them coming. WE’LL SEE YOU AT CABIN CAMP IN OCTOBER!

Just loving this ‘Pick Along Lesson’ @BanjoBen Mp3 slowed to 0.75 is the ideal speed for practicing triplets without getting into a muddle. Playing along with all the instruments it feels like a real jam session.
