Discuss the Guitar lesson: Softly and Tenderly

https://banjobenclark.com/lessons/softly-and-tenderly-guitar

This is a beautiful version of a childhood favorite, and it’s fingerstyle, none the less. Nothing is too tough about this version, but the harmonies created really bring the melody to life.

Maybe I’m just not seeing clearly. Where is the TAB for the mandolin solo? I see the guitar TAB, but I don’t see the mandolin. Or am I just not using my eyeballs, which is possible? Thanks.

Howdy! A couple ways to get it. This is the guitar lesson, but both the mando and guitar tabs are on the .tef tab file on the lesson page. If you don’t know how to use the .tef tabs, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzS9NxVuNbg

If you want the mandolin lesson which has the mando pdf tab file, just click on the link below the video player on the right:

Is it possible to get this in tab for the banjo?

I’ll put that on the list, thank you!

Would you have someone open the tef file on this lesson?
The current TEF file only has the Mandolin.
Thanks so much

Which solo are you looking for? The mandolin and guitar solos are on the same TEF folder. in the top right-hand corner, you will see a number 1 and 2. The mandolin backup and solo are on the number 1 and the guitar backup and solo are on the number 2. If you’re looking for the banjo solo, that is on a different lesson.

Hi @chipfunb Ralph welcome to @BanjoBen 's Forum.

If you open the TEF file and look at the top right hand corner click on 2 and that will bring the Guitar TAB to the top of the stack. I am sure Ben will fix this when he has a moment.

Thank you so much for the response.
I’ve used the tef application for years and never used that option before.
