do you keep the fingers down or lift them after every note?

I think it depends and “falls” into place. There have been times in the past where I actually practiced that with tabbed out licks/lines. But I don’t really practice it while improvising because it’s too much to think about, however it will happen at times because of licks that I’ve practiced.
