This song exposed a bad habit I had developed over the years. My right hand - arm was way too tense resulting in an up and down motion to strike the strings. I’ve played for 60 years, mostly strumming and advanced finger style. Cross picking to this degree is new. I hate to admit it but I had to go all the way back to the beginner lesson on the right hand. Holding the pick - check. Wrist motion - nope. Rotating hand instead of the up and down - nope. I spent several days slowing this song down and concentrating on playing it correctly as per your lesson. This has been a big help in just relaxing and playing without so much movement.
