I have enjoyed this one even though my hands do not make chords to well I am working it out …
I just started with the free think and this is the first course I have unlocked. I am liking this method of learning as I can go as slow and slower to get the finger and picking positions but have trouble with having the strings to remember top from bottom. Also, I am finding that at first if seems impossible to do, then gradually finding I can do it but very slowly and unable to keep any rhythm and when I come back to it the next day it does get a little easier but need to improve with each measure. You can see it is extremely slow going for me. I am thinking about doing the gold pick one month at a time to see how long this may take me to actually play the song slowly with some hope of rhythm. If I get away from it for a month and come back is it a start all over again from scratch kind of thing or not?
No, I don’t think it’s a start from scratch type of deal. Of course there is regression but sometimes I find it’s like golf…I can play a little better after a break.
I’d be honored to have you on board!
Thanks - just jumped in for a month gold pick - thanks for the reply - I will keep pickin and a grinnin
This is so true! I went for a while without playing the guitar, and, before I stopped, completing the G lick was kind of a hit-and-miss process, sometimes I’d make it, others I wouldn’t. After coming back to the guitar, I can hit it almost every time!
I would highly recommend doing a gold pick membership! I tried to self-teach for several years; I learned more in the first month with Banjo Ben than I did in all the years of self-teaching. He is a great teacher and a great instrumentalist. I have learned so much from him!
