Discuss the Guitar lesson: Guitar POV PickAlong: Nine Pound Hammer

Let’s pick! The point of the Pickalong lessons is not to teach you a tabbed solo or backup, but to get you actually playing along by using your eyes and ears! Don’t forget that you can slow down the video!

Undoubtedly it is a fantastic exercise to develop your ear and improvisation. I still need to study a lot. But with a great string master like you Ben, everything is easier. I’m missing because I don’t have internet at home. Thank you very much from the heart. It is an honor and a great pride to study with you.

Hi Terry If you look at the bottom right hand corner of the video screen you’ll see a little cog wheel click on that and adjust as required

Yikes, I’m sorry @guifiddle41!

have two other hand made guitars but they dont sound very good will have to wait till this Martin gets fixed might go bye a el cheapo at music store MABEY a Yamaha

Is there tab available for the basic tune "Nine Pound Hammer’? I don’t see it anywhere. Thanks!

Great question. It’s not labeled as basic, but the build-a-break has a more basic + strum solo as part of the lesson:

This is incredibly helpful. Not sure if you have tried this but, doing a full band with no breaks would be awesome to just continue trying out different licks! I like seeing how you do your break and what I have been doing is rewinding the “No guitar” recording so I can practice a bunch. Let me know what you think of this suggestion!

Yeah, great idea! Have you tried out Strum Machine? https://strummachine.com/

I actually don’t have it, but need to get it. I recommend it to do exactly what you’re talking about–it would be customizable for you for tempo, etc.
