I believe this means swing rhythm. Other than that I’m not sure.

I guess some folks may put that in the tab, but it’s more of a listening thing. It certainly sounds better in almost all cases to swing at the slower tempos. The amount of swing is also determined by the players in the group/jam.
Believe it or not, if you take a faster recording of Tony Rice’s, like his Blackberry Blossom, and you slow it down…he’s still swingin’ it a little! Amazing!
