Discuss the Guitar lesson: Ballads in G- Crosspicking Guitar Rhythm

Ben I was checking back in with you on the guitar lead for Hanna’s song , it would be a great on stage if the mandolin and guitar could trade off on the rhythm part and each play the lead. I can already hear it with a bass in the background. Thanks Roy Cotton

Thanks for reminding me!

@BanjoBen Ok need to ask never ever been concerned about Pick direction or with fingerpicking which finger gets the note. So what is the significance. As an example just played through reasonably paced without worrying about direction. Then focused on pick direction and will still here at midnight before through 4 Bars.

Seeing some of the playing on here I guess the perseverance is worth it???

It’s about efficiency. Of course the argument can be and is made for folks that sweep pick, but in my experience only the best pickers do well with that strategy. The true alternate picking technique gets more pickers faster, period.
