I grew up singing this one…how 'bout you? We’ll start up the neck is a spacey verse, then head down for some bluegrass licks on the chorus!

I love this type of lesson where you combine all three instruments @BanjoBen . It means that I can combine all three TEF TAB files and practice Backup over the guitar & mandolin breaks.
I thank you for including backup information. I’m not advanced yet, but I appreciate learning what to do when not playing a solo. I know there are lots of lessons about backup on the site, but it’s super helpful having a backup suggestion right with the song lesson.
Yes Sir, this one was a gold standard hymn for us. My mom was the church pianist so I woke up to this many times on a Sunday morning, groggy of course from staying up late watching Saturday Night Live. The best was opening up a Sunday night service with it, back when Sunday night service was the main weekly event.
We grew up a lot alike.
There is no tab for guitar just banjo. also u demonstrated the verse strum with just 1 measure of C chord but the banjo tab shows 2 measures?
Thanks @BanjoBen for another great arrangement! I got on it like a dog on a bone! Here’s what I’ve got so far. https://youtu.be/DWEdsZ1qVZ0
Really great @JohnnyD! My pastor wants me to play banjo as folks are waking in certain services. This one is definitely on my list! You nailed it! I will try and post my humble attempt soon
God bless!
