@BanjoBen, these are really great. There were some real lightbulbs starting to flash for me in this lesson. I can understand much better how to use the walkups and walkdowns to transition between chords when you have two bars of a chord before the chord change.
What are some ways of pointing the ear towards the next chord when the chord is played for only a single bar? Is it using a slide or hammer on with eighth notes?
I was trying to work out a way to apply these concepts to figure out some simple (level 1/2 type) backup for another song in C, but I can’t quite grasp how to do this for one bar chord changes.
Or should pointing the ear not be tried and you just flip your roll directly into the next chord change?
