Discuss the Banjo lesson: Inside Cabin Camp: Boogie Woogie Banjo Backup

Come inside Cabin Camp with my advanced banjo class to learn some boogie woogie banjo backup! What’s great about this approach is that the licks are all “closed” which means we can take them to any key or chord we need!

Yeh Hmn Not Bad!gif

Thanks for reminding me @BanjoBen I have Eddie’s DVD and haven’t checked it out in a long while.

@BanjoBen would it be appropriate to use this in Nine Pound Hammer? Thanks for the lessons, they really are a huge help.

You bet! Not the whole song of course, but for a few measures here and there it would really liven it up!

Thanks Ben.

I’m doing the barreing with my ring finger and all the notes ring clearly but when I add the hammer ons my ring finger on the 4th string deadens the third string hammer on. I’ve tried moving my thumb and ring finger positions but not working so far

Keep at it! Try curling that ring finger some more.

Today its getting better, Im trying to curl my ring finger more without twisting my wrist in an awkward position. but like you say keep at it. Kind of like learning Fshape on a guitar, takes perseverance. Thanks Ben
