getting confused. When he gets to the 4 notes is Alan pinching or picking 4 different notes??
Could you specify a certain time frame? It might help narrow down where the notes are.
When it gets down to the 21st measure.
Most of the time, he pinches the top three notes of the chord. The entire four-note chord is in the tab, as these are all the notes that are available in the chord.
Since you only have three fingerpicks, you’ll only be able to pinch three at a time. You can also pick through all four of them at a comfortable tempo by using your thumb twice on the two lowest notes of the chord, then index and middle.

My take on this query is that Alan/ @BanjoBen is showing alternatives to a three finger pinch. You have a choice of picking three strings the 123 or 234 it still produces the same chord but the 234 gives you a deeper tone. Experiment, use your ear to guide you on what sounds float your boat.
