I give you two solos for this slick fiddle tune in D. The first is a basic melody Scruggs-style, while the second is a matching unison solo with the mandolin version I’ve taught.

So today’s the day I start to tackle The Cuckoo’s Nest I have been checking out this tune pretty much every week since @BanjoBen added it to the list six Yes SIX years ago and in some ways I feel I know it, but I don’t. Like every tune in the Advanced Section this one is a personal challenge for me.
So I’ve got to ask, why does the D sound so DEE in D the richness of the tone measures 7 - 8 really stand out. It feels like I am playing a chocolate bar.
I just this tune.
