Let’s learn 4 solos for this tune, two each in the keys of C and G. The first solos will be straight ahead melody while the second introduces Scruggs licks and melodic twists!

In a jam session would both keys be played as you demonstrated or would you just pick one of the keys to match a singer’s voice? The transition from C to G is sweet! Thx.

Hi Dana Great question I guess it would be down to who you jam with. This tune normally has vocals and it is often down to the singer what key to choose men will often choose G and women will tend to choose C since that is often the most comfortable. I love tunes with multiple keys and it’s not unknown that you can have two singers one singing a verse in G and one in C. You could take this arrangement to your jam session and have folks learn it.
