I taught an advanced version back in 2016, but this is a more straight-ahead melody solo that allows you to really wrap your fingers around what matters most. Enjoy this one!

Hey, What kind of banjo is that? Is it a RB-4?
Hey! It’s a Gibson copy of Crowe’s 75 made by Warren Yates.
Ben, any plans to tab out the improv parts? That would be helpful for those of us that aren’t very good at improvising. Also, how about a quick rundown on the backup parts? Thanks!
Could someone listen to this TEF and critique it for down the neck rolling backup for Big Sciota? I’m only playing it at 120bpm now so I’m not asking for playing critique, but just wondering if I’m on the right track for how to create a good rolling backup. Is it too busy or too simple? Will it work when I get it up to speed? Any suggestions for improvement? Thanks all!

Hi Tom
I am no expert but it sounds great to me I have added a solo and rhythm guitar but I am unable to upload I have sent you a PM
Nothing wrong at all with that! The A part is really tasty. Don’t be afraid to incorporate the 5th string in the B part. Don’t worry about the “G” note not being in the chord, like a D chord. Use that 5th string as you want. Great job!
