Great lesson that I failed to look at earlier. Thanks.

I feel like a complete idiot, but this lesson was extremely helpful. I had always done it the hard way, and gave the mandolin far too much time to crack banjo jokes while I was re-tuning on stage. Palm the strings. Pre-stretching them. After all those years of knocking 4 strings out of wack by tightening the capo behind the fret. Great talk Steve and Ben

Wow, this was a game changer for me! I play in a local bluegrass trio and when our frontman announces the next tune and I have to switch keys and put the capo on I was half the time finding my banjo would be just enough out of tune to sound off … never occurred to me that I can pre-stretch with the palm before tightening the capo. Gonna try this at our next gig!
