Harmonics are fascinating! I remember the first time I heard them, and wasn’t long before I was working them into my songs. This lesson gives an overview for how harmonics happen and how to use them.
Under the “I learn something new every day” category…I knew about the harmonics at 19 & floating over the head, but it was news to me that you can get a great harmonic with the 5th string alone at 17!
I guess the next time I meet a beautiful woman who says “I hate banjo music” I can tell her “I play the harmonic-uh.”
Be sure to tell her you can do it on a G string
