There are tons of beginner versions floating around out there, but this version incorporates substitute chords, passing chords, and arpeggios to add a unique sound to a classic tune. And it’s free.

Morning all, just started this song this morning but would like to recommend an addition to measure 26 as written it is a D 1/2 note followed by a B 1/4 note, I tried this and like it keep the D1/2 note change the B to an 1/8 note and then hammer on fret 3 of the B string that makes it a D follow by the D in measure 27. anybody have a recommendation please let me know, happy picken:smiley:

I decided to set up a challenge to myself by following up with a a video of the songs I learn here on the website under the actual lesson link (So I can keep track lol). My goal is to do them all, from begginner to advanced versions. I will add some twists when I can
It might take me a couple of years but I shall get through them all
Thanks @BanjoBen it has been a lot fun

Great job @frankb_be !!! That’s such a cool version!
This version of this song was intended to be the 1st song that our Oct. Cabin Camp band played in our Amazing Grace medley, to be followed by the Trad 3/4 and then ending w the snazzy 4/4. Our band orig. had 3 banjos (hence our name, bushy tailed banjo MOB) and our 3rd banjo picker just blew us away when she played it for us 1st nite of camp. We were sad that she had to leave.
