Just viewed Ben’s current email containing a lesson on changing strings.
Great lesson and very clear and concise for sure, especially for a beginner.
I see Ben used a StewMac neck support inverted and notched. They make
2 versions of this heavy duty wooden support. One for solid body guitars
and one for acoustics. Which is the one Ben is using?
Also, when winding the strings around the tuner is it necessary to have
the string spacing close as possible or can it be spread out as long as
it’s tightly wound. The close wound actually looks neater but I’m uncertain if
this has anything to do with tuning or string tone.
Changing Strings Lesson
TESTING … TESTING… 1…2…3… TESTING !!! ???
Is this on ???

I’m using a homemade one, I believe. I think it’s best to have the string windings touching if you can, but not a dealbreaker.
Thanks for the reply Ben.
Much appreciated.
