Changing between time signatures in a medley

Changing time signatures between songs in a medley - I’m trying to arrange a medley of “Midnight on the Water” and “Bonaparte’s Retreat”. These are often played together but the first is in 3/4 time and the second in 4/4 time.

I get the math - 4 measures in 3/4 time = 3 measures in 4/4 time, but will that work out and sound OK?

Personally in a medley I would be inclined to just swap time signatures right away, maybe with some potatoes in the new time signature to go into the new tune.
