Bill Evans - Isolation Workshops

Hey Guy’s

Another message from Bill Evans

In thinking about how I can help during this health crisis, with so many of us in isolation, I thought it’d be great to bring as many folks together to talk and pick banjo.

I’ve got two more Facebook Live events coming up this weekend and I hope you’ll be able to join me. On Saturday, April 18 at 7 p.m. Mountain Time (9 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Pacific), I’ll be presenting “The Banjo in America – at Home,” right from my living room. This concert features over 250 years of banjo music played on a variety of historical instruments.

On Sunday, April 19 at noon Mountain Time (2 p.m. Eastern, 11 a.m. Pacific), I’ll be hosting a “Bluegrass Trio Harmony Crash Course” workshop with my wife Babi and daughter Corey (it’s the debut of the Evans Family Singers!). Come sing along with us on Saturday and learn all about what’s unique about bluegrass harmony singing.

You can view both events by heading over once again to my personal Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/BillEvansBanjo

While both upcoming events are free, your donations once again are gratefully accepted. 25% of all proceeds from both of these events will be donated to the Walker Creek Music Camp (https://www.walkercreekmusiccamp.org), a wonderful California camp with non-profit status where I’ve taught for many years. This coming weekend would have been the weekend of this event, but like all other spring and now summer camps, Walker Creek has been cancelled.

You can make a donation via PayPal at https://www.paypal.me/BillEvansBanjo. You can also access my PayPal account using my email at bill@billevansbanjo.com.

I’ll be back with another online Facebook Live workshop on Saturday, May 2, so stay tuned for the topic and the time! Thanks for your support and friendship and I’ll see you soon.
