Hey all, first time writing on the forum! Love to see so many interested in picking as much as i am.
Been playing guitar for as long as i can remember and started to venture out into other bluegrass instruments. Namely. The banjo. I have recorded mandolin chops/ learned intro, vocals, bass, and rythem guitar. But am completly lost on the banjo.
Would anyone out ther have any suggestions on where to find tab or have any helpful advice for me to begin learning the song banks of the ohio on banjo. I am referencing the tony rice version while tracking.
Thank you for your time
Banks of the ohio
Hi @lukey555 Luke to @BanjoBen 's Forum.
I am surprised Ben hasn’t covered this. I don’t think it is Copyright. That said there are a ton of other sources out there that we can look to for study.
The first source I would look to is the Banjo Hangout. For some reason the TAB Library is not accessible at this time, probably down for maintenance.
Google Search comes up with a few sources worth checking out.
And YouTube has quite a few free lessons

Another source is Jack Hatfield
Hi @lukey555 Luke
Sean Ray has a video tutorial in F on YouTube. You can purchase the TAB directly from him.
