I’ve seen (and purchased) a few gadgets to help develop picking hand muscle memory.
The BanjoLit looks appealing, although a bit pricey, but functional and portable.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to construct a portable, quiet, chord trainer
for banjos ??? Digital w/screen would be great !!!
I’ve noted something similar for guitar but most reviews were terrible.
Nothing for banjo though.
Just wondering if any member inventors, techees, woodworkers, would share
some ideas about this.
Main feature would be portability and size to accommodate beginner and advanced pickers.
Have not seen anything like this on the market … YET !!!
Banjo chord trainer
The only chord trainer I would recommend is @BanjoBens Lessons and since you are already a member here @kooseman Steve why shell out more cash on a gadget when you have all the info you need right here in the lesson section
Can you share a link of the guitar version?
I agree totally. But, I’m thinking something similar to the BanjoLit that’s portable and provides an opportunity to
practice chord positions in situations without the banjo.
Say two different sizes, one half of the banjo neck each contingent on your playing level and intended development.
As mentioned, I’ve seen digital versions of these (on Amazon) for guitar, but nothing for banjo.
Ben, do an Amazon search for Guitar Chord Trainers.
There are numerous versions.
Some are digital. I only found guitar versions. Nothing for banjo.
These do NOT produce any sound and you’ll see that the reviews are
not the best. Maybe the technicalities need to be refined but the idea seems
like a good idea in situations when the banjo is not available.
Sort of like the BanjoLit but for chord practice.
Oh I forgot to mention … I also love to buy gizmos n’ gadgets n’ toys for my banjo
Keeps me motivated
