Banjo Ben banjo strings on my Twanger

Well, they sound good! I’m used to playing on Elixir Nanoweb 9s, and Ben’s strings are uncoated 10s with a heavier low D string (22) so it feels slightly different, but for the price, you can’t really beat ‘em. They have a nice tone. Not quite as bright as the Nanowebs, but WAY brighter than the stock strings that came on the Twanger.

Check it out.

If you didn’t already know about these new strings, check 'em out here:

Well, i got 5 packs on order so hopefully they sound as good on mine as they do on yours. Do you like them enough to switch for good?

Still too early to tell. My fingers are a bit spoiled to the Nanoweb coating, and I do really like the extra brightness. We’ll have to revisit in a month or two.

A good tone is 99% on the player’s fingers I reckon. You got it mate

Thanks for the comparison! I’m anxious to try some on my Randy Wood banjo. Are you using medium or light? I typically play medium.

I used to play mediums, but my Twanger came with mediums and I just wasn’t that happy with the tone. Then I put on a set of lights and it just opened right up. It’s like she just needed to breathe.
