Anyone working on Chord Melody?

Hey everyone, I’m curious if anyone is working on Chord Melody on banjo? If so, what is your approach. My goal is to be able to play a simple chord melody from a standard piece of sheet music. Years ago, there was a Mel Bay book called, “Chord Melody for Guitar” that showed this approach. Basically, you learn a diatonic chord shape for each note of the scale for the chords of the key you are in. With practice, you could look at a piece of standard sheet music and play a chord melody. Obviously you would start with simple songs and progress to more advanced arrangements.
There are several resources for the Diatonic chord shapes, such as Alan Munde’s Solo Banjo book, but I haven’t seen any that relate them to the notes of sheet music like the Mel Bay book did for guitar. Any thoughts or ideas on this would be helpful.

Also check out Heath Joyce’s website Search Chord Melodies he has a dozen or so. You should be able to pick up a few ideas

I also recall this lesson may be helpful: https://banjobenclark.com/lessons/working-mans-banjo-theory-with-alan-munde-banjo-intermediate
