Was just curious as to who else ordered a twanger from the last sale, I’m very excited to play mine when it comes in. It is my upgrade banjo and I have never played a good banjo before so I’m on pins and needles!
Anybody else?
Anybody else order a black friday twanger?
I didn’t, but congrats on your new banjo!!
I bought mine last summer. Still works pretty well, Enjoy yours when it arrives
I staked a claim . Super excited about it. I’m in the same boat as you never have played a quality banjo before. I’m definitely feeling the excitement.
I am excited for you Emilie you’re gonna see a big difference. Look forward to more vids
I bought a Recording King at banjo camp. It’s a much higher level banjo for a good price and I’m so glad I got it. My first RK is a beginner level and sounded like it–although Justin tweaked it for me and it sounds pretty good. My new one is easier to play, sounds better and makes what I play sound better. Good luck with yours.
What model did u get if you don’t mind me asking.
It’s a RK 35
Nice I hear thoes are really good.
The one thing I’m not crazy about is how heavy it is BUT they tell me that’s because of the great resonator. It sounds great and is easy to play so I bought it despite that and I’ve not regretted it. I have trouble carrying it around but my husband is the best roadie.

I did order a Butch Robins model from Tim Davis. I talked to Tim the other day and he said it may be a while before they get back from finishing. I think a lot of people used stimulus money to buy banjos.
I just bought a banjo made by Tim Davis as well
I’m so excited I might actually make a video!
I am on the Twanger train too. It will be a HUGE upgrade for me too (from playing air banjo!)
Well one of two things, you will never have to deal with a nasty starter instrument, two, you will never know having to deal with a nasty starter instrument to make your upgrade feel all the more wonderful! Hope you love it either way!
I ordered one but couldn’t wait until February and picked up the recording king rk-76. I am really enjoying playing it and having a good sounding quality instrument makes practicing more enjoyable. I’m hoping I didn’t make a mistake by switching but so far I’m loving. I do have a couple of questions or concerns but I hope to address those in time. Hope y’all enjoy the twangers. I hope to play one eventually to compare.
From what I hear of them you have a great banjo. If you are loving it, then you didn’t make a mistake.
I agree with @Mike_R If I hadn’t gone for the Twanger my next choice would have either been an RK or Gold Star.
Update on this: they’re supposed to be shipping to us next week, so we could be 10-14 days from y’all receiving them!
