Any Bishline owners out there?

Looking at buying a new banjo sometime next year. Income is fairly limited at this point, so I’m looking to stay at or below $3K. I like what I’ve seen of Rob Bishline’s banjos, though I’ve never had the chance to play one.

The Bishline Okie caught my eye, and Rob himself told me that some of his customers have had them made without frailing scoops so they can play all the way up the neck.

The most important thing is that I find a good banjo for double-duty, Scruggs-style and Clawhammer. American-made, if possible.

Anyone out there own or play a Bishline Okie? Or a Cimmaron? The Harvest looks like Bishline’s version of the Deering Calico.

I don’t own one Chad but I have always thought they produce high quality banjos, I also love the Huber Banjo’s. I am blessed to own a Stelling Master Flower but alas Geoff has retired.

Yes, I heard. Quite a bummer. I’ve liked Stellings ever since I bought Bill Emerson’s album “Banjo Man.” I’ve never played one, though. I reckon the price of Stellings will only go up.
