I got to play with some friends yesterday and met a couple new pickers. “Banjo Carol” hosted this jam near West Bend, Wisconsin, about an hour south of where I live. We had three banjos; the man playing it used a clawhammer style and played well. I had never met the fiddle player before but she played very well. We had a great jam, playing for 3 1/2 hours! Most of the songs were simple but almost everyone took solos and had a great time. I tried to lead a few gospel tunes but discovered I was in the wrong key (too low, generally). Glad we were all comfortable using the NNS! Looking forward to the next jam!
