I wrote this song immediately in the aftermath of the Uvalde TX school shooting. I sat on it for a while and decided to have a demo made. It’s not bluegrass but it is how I feel. I just got this demo back last week. In a sad twist of irony …from a studio in Nashville. I hope you will give it a listen…

Art can bring comfort but can all express feelings sadness and suffering felt by people you may never know. @Stixx3969, thanks for writing this ( I hate that there is a source for this pain this song expresses anywhere in this world), the emotions of the subject can be felt in your song. Really nothing for me to add except I sure hope this song and other music will help us love one another.

Touching song… Though this isn’t really the place for it imo. Posting a song on Ben’s site blaming guns is kinda… Idk. This isn’t a gun problem, it’s the evil and godless people who glorify mental illness. Guns have been around for centuries, regular mass shootings have only been around in recent times comparatively speaking. Do the math.

I’m gonna let it be here. I appreciate the emotion and heartbreak, which we all have, though I disagree with some of the song’s sentiment. What might cause me to remove it from the forum is what transpires on this thread from here, thanks.

Hi @BanjoBen I am disappointed that you removed my post. @Mason_Crone is promoting guns I disagree with his POV. If my post is offensive then you should also remove @Mason_Crone post. Free Speech?

I made a reply to Mason’s comment which is why it remained. Thanks, and if you’d like to keep the original post on my forum, as I do, then this is the end of our discussion about this.

So what you’re saying is free speech is ok as long as it is pro guns. I would not have commented on this post had @Mason_Crone not expressed his POV Guns kill end of story. and as long as @Mason_Crone post remains here I will argue my POV it’s only fair @BanjoBen

You can’t take a hint, but maybe you can take some very direct communication. There is no free speech here on this forum. It’s my forum and I’m the one that makes the decisions. This thread is now closed. Thanks for sharing your song, @Stixx3969. I’m allowing and appreciate Keith’s expression, while also exercising the right to disallow debate on this issue.

It doesn’t have to be this hard.
