I took some violin/fiddle lessons from a musician that specialized in Cajun music (even though he lives in North Louisiana). He said the goal of a cajun fiddler is to have everyone up to dancing. He also told me as long as everyone is dancing, you don’t end the song. You know its time for a new song when you see f handfull of folks start sitting down. Repeat the process until its time to go home
