A different approach to learning

This is a pull approach. But I think the idea exhibited in different forms. In India, we had a push approach, probably handed out from the British, where the teachers would give imposition to the students who lacked progress.
@JohnnyD, that was to write the same answer again and again, like 5 or 10 times. Usually given to someone who fails in class tests. I believe the idea was that it would better stick in their heads this way! But these were those days, I don’t know such imposition could be given nowadays!
Maybe I’m right or maybe I was wrong with my use of terminology to describe such ask. As I see that the below is also called imposition!
