Oddly, I’m not envious of his ability. I simply enjoy his smooth, effortless playing. It seems he lets the banjo play itself. It’s rare, but I’ve had days like that & it’s magical!

Might be the wrong video? At first I was like “Tony Trishka on stage with Mark Knopfler and Eric Clapton!? This is going to be awesome!” Then I hear the intro to Money for Nothing and think “How are they going to work this in to John Henry?”
Needless to say, I was really disappointed when neither of those things happened. That would have been amazing.
The video I got to watch was down to the river to pray by Alison Krauss.
