I’m looking for a good quality 5-string resonator banjo, but with a 25 1/2 inch scale. I have thicker hands and just am looking for a way to reduce the stretch and make a more comfortable playing experience. I understand that you don’t want to go much shorter than that and still retain normal banjo tone. Does anyone have experience and recommendations? Thanks! Tim

Are you a guitar player switching to banjo who likes the Fender scale? Just curious.
Don’t know much about banjo scale lengths, but if stretching across frets is your concern, it’s much easier to stretch across frets on a banjo than on a guitar.
If my premise was incorrect, then sorry…just disregard.
