Hey folks, it’s that time of the year again in North Alabama! This weekend is the 56th annual Fiddlers Convention held on the grounds of Athens State University (Athens, AL). If you’re somewhat in the area, it’d be a fun event to attend - decent entertainment (sched attached), food, craft vendors, instruments for sale, workshops, competitions, & lotsa pickin and grinnin jams, so bring your instrument. We’ll be camping on the grounds today thru Sunday, maybe see ya there!
2023 TN Valley Fiddlers Convention
We’ve tried to go for 2 years now. Actually had plans this year and had reserved a spot at a campground. But now we’ve cancelled it because our dad’s heart surgery is this Friday. Maybe next year! Have fun! It sure does look like a fun place.
Hi Libby Thinking about Y’all at this time, I will be praying for a speedy recovery for your dad.
Enjoy, I hope y’all get a lot of pickin’ in during the event! Those concerts looks great.
Our thoughts and prayers are with yall for the surgery and a quick recovery!!!
Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, we’ll catch you here next year!!
Will try n get some pics and possibly video… but you know how tuff that is to do when you’re trying to be out there picking…
Thanks, will do… “Banjoson” is coming up on Friday after work, hopefully he brings his banjo… Already got our chairs set out by the stage for the concerts…
Thanks! I just saw him at IBMA last week. Actually got to jam with him for about an hour! He’s amazing… the whole band is!
