2021 Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention

Folks in the vicinity of North Alabama - this festival is happening now in Athens, AL. Don’t be fooled by “old time” in the name, there’s a ton of bluegrass being played if your not interested in old time.

Performing this year are:
Volume Five (last nite)
Jimmy Fortune (tonite)
Dailey & Vincent (tonite)
Doyle Lawson Quicksilver (Sat. Nite)

Plus all the on stage competitions, jam circles, buck dancers, and arts/crafts booths and a food corridor.

Was originally supposed to camp out @ this event the whole weekend, and that didn’t work out, but was fortunate to be able to go yesterday eve & planning for a full day there today. Kinda bummed we won’t be able to see DLQS. But I’m thankful we’re able to go at all!!

It was a ton of fun! I’ve got some videos but not sure if/when I can post them, been having sketchy internet/cell service issues both out this way & at home. - (I thought of you and the dilemma to catch video or join in the fun. Join in the fun mostly won out )
Next year gonna definitely try and make the “bring the camper to the festival” and stay directly on the grounds thing happen!! We did that (2019) pre covid shutdown & it was the best!
