Next thing you know you’ll be telling me that the Lonesome River Band can sing.
What are y'all up to?
“I’ll stick with the old stuff. It works every time”
I watched one of his banjo cams from a RSKT show and he plays with so much feeling haha.
Yes… son… you are coming around…
My favorite current banjoist is Sammy Shelor. He’s really innovative with timing and note choice.
I still like Bela and Noam too though
That’s how it was when I joined
So Mason do you now have a list of favorite bluegrass vocalists?
No, I’ll work on it though haha.
Number 1. Darrin Vincent
My favorites are definitely Tony Rice and Ronnie Bowman
Darrin sang “Hallelujah I’m ready” at our church when they came and I was like “this is the guy everyone tries to copy on this song”
He literally forgot the words on the second verse too😂
John Cowan is a good singer, he probably doesn’t count though.
I LOVE John Cowan singing with NGR!
I haven’t heard a lot of Tony Rice’s singing
What I’ve heard I liked though
If you listen to the stuff from like before 1990 (when it started being really apparent that he was losing his voice) it’s really really good. And he wasn’t a trained singer.
I’m using likes again🤦🏻♂️
I’ve gotta stop😂
