What are y'all up to?

Pike County Breakdown is cool too, I don’t know how people can flat pick that fast and clean. It’s Sierra Hull on the album, right?

Yep

I put most of my focus on banjo because I like it and I think I could possibly actually get good at it someday. I hear Sierra play mandolin or Jake play guitar and I’m like “I’ll never be able to do that…” :joy:

Jake has a cool mandolin style. He plays it like a guitar in my opinion, I tried to tell my sister that and she said it makes semi sense haha.

He’d have still made it if his only instrument was mandolin :joy:

He does! But it’s still great
And Andy Leftwitch plays it like a fiddle in his own words.

I think I saw some Instagram post where he was playing banjo on stage for Ancient Tones.

Exactly! It’s hard to explain, but you can just tell that his mandolin playing is very influenced by his guitar techniques. It’s not a bad thing, it sounds great. It’s just unique.

Jake could’ve also been a successful heavy metal guitarist… :joy: He’s as good as or better than all the famous ones I’ve heard.
