Hope you’re feeling better soon! That’s an awful way to spend any amount of time! Been there, done that
What are y'all up to?
Done…Feel better.
Watching an accident on the expressway behind my place.
Woman slid off the road into the water filled ditch and flipped…she got herself out through a broken window…she’s OK I heard but completely soaked…cold windy night here.
4-5 cruisers there now. waiting for the tow truck.
Yikes! Scary wreck for sure! Glad she appears to be ok! I’m watching mandolin videos of nordic/polska/ jazz styles but I really need to be sleeping cuz I have to be up in about 2 1/2 hours !!
Eat honey! You’ll be ok.
Every year around this time (the start of the rains) there’s a stomach virus that goes around in the water from all the junk being washed into the water sources (lots of poop in general)
Several of my siblings and both parents had it the past few days. I only just got it last night. Fortunately it doesn’t last longer than a couple days at most.
Thanks Stuart!
Oh man. So sorry to hear that. I don’t know if it’ll help, but in general, the best thing to help battle bad stomach bugs is good stomach bugs. If you can find some fermented veggies like raw sauerkraut or kimchi or naturally pickled veggies in general, or unpasteurized yogurt or kefir, those will often fight off the bad bugs. I used to deal with stomach bugs at least once a year. Since making sure I get probiotics in my diet, either by eating the food or taking a supplement, the only times I’ve had a problem have been when I went months without taking them.
And then, when the stomach bug came back, popping some probiotic supplements prevented me from a day’s worth of puking.
In fact, Jake got a stomach bug at the last camp. I went out and got him some probiotics and some activated charcoal. He said he felt 90% better within about 6 hours.
Hope everyone gets through it soon.
I’m doing a lot better now, I’ve wanted some yogurt most of the day, but it’s not made yet (we make our own yogurt, but it takes time and we usually lapse on making it)
I’ll keep that in mind though, thanks!
Glad you are doing better Gunnar!!! Prayers answered!!!

Been a long time, but went to a jam session with some old and dear friends Thursday.
Played fiddle and visited about five hours then headed home.
Had a great time, but the playing with others kinda felt like this…
Rats…popped a brake line yesterday on my truck…luckily is a parking lot and only 8 miles from home.
Garage won’t change just one line and want 1400 to do them all, so my buddy Nic is coming up next weekend to install all new stainless steel lines in for me.
Getting ready to hoof the mile up to our little store to get a few groceries I need. Been quite a few years since I walked into town…like 40 or so
Ouch. If I was in your local Dave I would have replaced the broken pipe for free. Before I worked as a Laser Printer Engineer I used to fix Commercial Vehicles and Coaches
My friends is a certified mechanic and I taught him how to climb and run a tree business.
Either Last year to two years ago I gave him a card for Christmas that said the stump grinder he was making payments to me on was paid off (still owed me about 5k) when he was in a bit of a pinch.
When I retired I gave him a lot of my equipment so he could continue on working on his own.
He already offered to not only do it for nothing, but pay for the parts as well. I will pay him what I can afford of course, but it’s kinda how we are…been good friends and have helped each other both in business and personally. for the last 15 years or so.
Yup, I know what it’s like to have that kind of friend.
At least I scored big on milk at the store.
When It hits the “don’t sell after” date they let it go for 1.99. per gallon. I’d have bought two if I wasn’t walking.
Tonight at practice I got all set up and got my music ready, and then I realized I forgot my capo… we were doing songs in Eflat and F.
