Friday night the little band I play with 3 - 4 times a year (The Island Bluegrass Band) donated our time and (meager) talents to the Neenah-Menasha (WI) Elks Lodge for their Veteran’s Appreciate Dinner. As an Elk and veteran myself it was a privilege to do this again (we did it a year ago also). We had a number of vets show up for the free dinner; many of our Lodge and some spouses came out also to enjoy dinner, mill about, eat and converse while we played 21 songs. I’m pretty sure we’ll get invited back next year!
